The name of SSM-1 or Type 88 surface to ship missile derive SSM-1B and ASM-1C of JMSDF.

Ship launch type SSM-1B developed from SSM-1, that's launch interface have interchangeability with RGM-84 too.
Technology of ASM-1C used for JASDF's ASM-2.
